Can a car eat?

Ben decided that he wanted to bring out his blanket and have a picnic with me on the couch (we shared some of our imaginary food with Daddy as well) After we ate our meal, which consisted of a lot of watermelon, the subject turned to what some other things like to eat.

Ben: Ben kitty.
Me: oh Ben is a kitty, what does a kitty eat?
Ben: Kitty food.
Me: right kitty food.

Ben: I a turtle.
Me: You are a very nice turtle.
Ben: what turtle eat?
Me: Ummm lettuce and carrots.
Ben: Oh

Ben: Mama, what car eat?
Me: Ummm gas, I suppose. A car eats gas.
Ben: NO MAMA, silly. No eat gas.
Me: No really a car eats gas, that is what makes it go.
Ben: noooooo
Me: Then what does a car eat?
Ben: COOKIES!

We have entered the age of asking questions that mommy might not know the answer to! How long can I get away with just making stuff up? I'm pretty sure my dad STILL makes up most of the answers!
